One Voice: One World, One Lord, One Church

God is desiring the full spectrum of worship the represents every tongue, every tribe and every nation. The vision
of One Voice is to help facilitate bringing this together. These world worship sounds will include indigenous
instrumentation and the sound of nations as the cultures of the kingdom gather and record together.

     
             
     
             
     

On the 19th February 2005 over 250 Christian artists gathered at Abbey Road studio 1 to record the song 'One Voice, One Heart' in response to the Tsunami disaster which hit Asia on Boxing Day.

This historic recording session saw the largest coming together ever of Gospel, contemporary Christian artists and worship leaders from the UK, from both black and white music scenes. The song was written by Dove award winner Tim Hughes and Mark Beswick. Soloists included Matt Redman, Martin Smith, Raymond and Co, London Community Gospel Choir, David Daniels, Tim Hughes, Lou Fellingham, Mal Pope, Graham Kendrick, Noel Richards, Michelle John and Fay Simpson, as well as Brenton Brown, Lex Brodie, Muyiwa, Noel Robinson, Bishop John Francis, Greenjade and Jahaziel.

One Voice, One Heart was produced by Linslee Campbell (Lighthouse Family and Raymond and Co) and Neil Costello (Noel Richards). Visionary Lawrence Johnson (co-founder of London Community Gospel Choir) felt burdened to call the Christian Music Community together to record a song to express God's heart of compassion, and enlisted the support of Les Moir (Label Manager for Survivor).

One Voice is working with Jubilee Action who are looking after the rebuilding of Thantri, a fishing village on the east coast of India that was totally destroyed by the disaster. Money raised will be focused on building homes and restoring the trade of the fishermen by supplying boats, fishing nets etc.
